XTX Markets has hired Ted Yang to join its business
development team in Asia.
Yang, who will be based in Singapore, joins from Tower
Research, where he was the head of technical implementation management in the
Prior to this, he was the head of the electronic trading
client services team at Samsung Futures in Korea.
“I’m delighted to have Ted join us as we continue to grow
our business in Asia. He has fantastic depth of knowledge around financial
markets and we look forward to him developing our business further,” says
Andonis Sakatis, head of business development at XTX.
Yang, who officially started in his new position on August
1, is the second hire that XTX has made in the APAC region in the past month,
after it named Chan
Wai Kin as its head of sales for Asia on July 19.
XTX has been very publicly building
its team over the past year. This most recent hire is notable in that Yang
is one of the first high profile hires that has not joined the market making
firm directly from a bank.
