Simon Wilson-Taylor, head of EBS Institutional FX, has left the firm. EBS acquired Wilson-Taylor’s Molten Markets in 2015, which is when he joined the firm in the newly created role and was tasked with building the institutional side of EBS’s business.
Wilson-Taylor launched Molten in 2013. Prior to this, he was global head of FX e-commerce at UBS, and before that, spent 16 years at State Street, last as global head of Global Link.
Initially, the acquisition of Molten tied Wilson-Taylor in for two years, but in the end, he spent five years with EBS, which was acquired by CME Group in late 2018. EBS Institutional FX will now be overseen by co-heads Hugh Whelan and John Vause.
Wilson-Taylor says he is currently exploring avenues in crypto, futures and fixed income through his new company, FICCit.
