Velocity Systems International, a Sydney-headquartered developer of Web-based foreign exchange software for brokers and dealing platforms, has expanded globally with new offices in London and a planned office opening in New York later this year.
The London operation is run by Alan Scott, CEO of Velocity Systems, who will divide his time between London and Sydney. He is joined in London by Peter Collins, who is in charge of business development, EMEA and Matthew Whittaker who is responsible for client engagement. The company plans to make several hires in London and New York this year.
Velocity Systems counts tier one global banks, regional banks and multi-bank platforms as customers of its V-Banking e-trading software and consultancy and integration services.
V-Banking is modular software that enables banks and brokers to create an e-FX trading environment that delivers a single screen view of activity throughout an FX trade lifecycle. This includes real-time executable FX prices, pre-trade analytics, post-trade straight-through processing services and news – all of which is automatically gathered by software from bank, broker and client-side sources.
The software is underpinned by ViSTRA, an all-in-one proprietary system for electronic trading that ensures real-time connectivity between buy-side trading portals, liquidity providers, pricing and dealing platforms.
"Since its foundation in 1997, Velocity Systems has established an impressive worldwide client base from its Australian headquarters. Our global re-launch comes at a time of significant corporate growth and with strong customer backing, marking a new and exciting period in the company’s continued development," says Scott.
