Vela Partners with CoinMarketCap

Technology provider Vela, has announced a partnership with CoinMarketCap, a provider of cryptocurrency data, to add cyrptocurrencies to its market data feed service, SuperFeed.
The partnership will provide Vela’s institutional client base with normalised access to the list of more than 1,800 cryptocurrency coins and tokens supported by CoinMarketCap. Vela will integrate CoinMarketCap’s professional API into SuperFeed to enable institutions to access the new data alongside more traditional market data sources.
“With crypto being one of the biggest disruptors in our space today, this agreement fortifies Vela’s entry into this innovative digital currency sector,” says Jen Nayar, CEO at Vela.

Sullivan Joins Vela

Peggy Sullivan has joined technology provider Vela in a newly created chief of staff role.
Based in New York she will report to Vela CEO Jennifer Nayar and the firm says her responsibilities include establishing strong strategic partnerships, advising on market structure challenges and developments, building trusted relationships with key accounts, identifying opportunities to improve service delivery, and collaborating with the wider executive team on strategy and product innovation while also representing Vela across a number of industry groups and trade associations.

Vela Feed Now on BT Radianz Cloud

BT has announced that SuperFeed, a fully-managed market data feed designed and operated by trading and market access technology provider Vela, can be accessed via the BT Radianz Cloud.
SuperFeed offers customers a single source for data feeds spanning 100 global venues including and is hosted by Vela and delivered as a managed service via the Radianz Cloud, meaning customers do not require investment in their own back-office infrastructure. SuperFeed is fully compatible with Vela’s existing enterprise software which enables customers to design bespoke systems to meet their unique business requirements.

Vela Unveils SI Data Hub

Market access technology provider Vela has announced the launch of its Systematic Internaliser (SI) Data Hub, part of its MiFID II solution suite. The firm has also confirmed the addition of Sun Trading as part of its roll-out of new Systematic Internaliser venues.
The SI Data Hub provides clients with access to multiple SI liquidity price feeds through a single normalised API, helping to address MiFID II concerns regarding best execution and liquidity fragmentation when it takes effect on 3 January 2018.
