Asset management company Schroders has hired Hardeep Dogra as manager of its recently launched Global Managed Currency Fund. Dogra will assist Clive Dennis in the management of the fund.
Dogra has joined Schroders in London from Goldman Sachs where he worked as an associate in the fixed income, currency and commodities (FICC) group, focusing on interest rate and inflation analysis in global bond markets.
The fund is Schroders’ first ever currency fund, a long-only, actively managed vehicle investing exclusively in cash instruments and forward foreign exchange contracts. It has some $43 million under management.
Since inception on June 2, it is up 0.13%, compared with a benchmark global currency index return of -0.13%.
