Howard Savery has joined DerivaTech Consulting as SVP, business development, based in New York. Savery brings 14 years of global FX derivatives trading experience to the business, and will therefore focus on the specification and design of enhancements to DerivaTech’s current and future product lines.
“Howard’s insights will allow DerivaTech to better provide answers and solutions to clients in this very dynamic and demanding industry. We see many shifts in the industry driven by regulation, technology and financial engineering and we intend to strengthen our position at the fore of our industry,” says Nicholas Hatzopoulos, CEO.
Prior to joining DerivaTech, Savery spent six years with Banque Indosuez (now Credit Agricole Indosuez), where he started the exotic options business within the FX division, as well as the FX options research department. He left the French bank in June 1998 to join Republic National Bank of New York as global head of FX and precious metals options trading.
DerivaTech, which was founded in late 1994, has products geared towards currency options market makers and portfolio managers, institutions that hedge their currency exposure with derivatives, and other risk managers seeking sophisticated analytic tools for understanding overall market exposure. The company’s newest product, OTC-Risk, is a risk management system for currency options that adds to the offerings available in the OTC product suite.
