Yang Du has left his
position as the head of the China business desk at Thomson Reuters in London to
join Yaozhi Asset Management.
In his new role at a
partner and a managing director at Yaozhi, Du will lead international funds and
be based in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Yaozhi manages 39 funds for 12
institutional and professional investors in the fixed income market.
Prior to this new
role, Du had been with Thomson Reuters since 2008, working in a variety of
roles. However, in 2011 he was appointed as director of RMB and China strategy
at Thomson Reuters and then in September 2014 was appointed as head of the
China business desk.
Specifically this desk
aimed to support Chinese banks, corporations and financial institutions in the
global market as the RMB moves towards becoming internationalised.
Before joining Thomson
Reuters, Du was an investment strategist at Bwin Party in London, a management
consultant at MWH Global and a bidding officer at GDF Suez, both in Beijing.
