Market sources say that Hans Gunter Redeker left his role as global head of FX strategy at Morgan Stanley in London last month.

Redeker has been with Morgan Stanley since March 2011 when he joined the bank in the global head role after an 11-year career at BNP Paribas – most latterly as global head of FX strategy.

His next destination is unknown and Morgan Stanley declined to comment, however Profit & Loss understands that New York-based Matthew Hornbach, global head of rates strategy, has assumed a new role of global head of macro strategy, which will incorporate the FX role. Hornbach is a Morgan Stanley veteran, having been with the bank for almost 20 years in a variety of fixed income research and strategy roles.
