RBA Veteran to Step Down

Mike Sinclair, chief manager for international operations at the Reserve Bank of Australia in Sydney, is to retire from the markets on August 29.

Sinclair has worked for the RBA for more than 40 years and has been running the central bank’s FX and money market desks for nearly 23 years.

Sinclair’s successor, who will be just the third markets head since the Australian dollar floated in 1983, has yet to be named by the RBA.
