Hayward Heads Oanda Europe
Retail FX broker Oanda has appointed a new head of Oanda Europe following the departure of Antony Broadbent in September.
The company, which opened its London office in June last year and appointed Broadbent as managing director of the subsidiary, has appointed Paul Hayward to the role. Hayward was most recently head of Oanda’s Dubai office. He has almost three decades of financial services experience in London and Dubai and has previously worked at HSBC and Raiffeisen Zentralbank.
Broadbent joined the online FX trading company in 2009 after spending three years as a senior research analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein and nine years as director for European corporate development at Capital One. Prior to this he was a senior engagement manager at McKinsey & Co. for 10 years.
An Oanda spokesperson tells Profit & Loss: “During his tenure with the company, Antony achieved his mandate to build the Oanda Europe team and ensure our good standing with the Financial Services Authority. We are now poised for further growth in the region under the leadership of Paul Hayward, a forex industry veteran and most recently the head of Oanda’s Dubai office.”
