Lee New Chief Strategist at Online Forex Trading
Online Forex Trading, a news and education site serving the foreign exchange community, has promoted Richard Lee to chief currency strategist. Lee was previously a contributing writer. In his new role he provides daily trading commentary and educational pieces as well as coordinates a team of writers on the FX market.
Lee was previously a senior technical strategist for news site DailyFX and has provided commentary to Bloomberg, CNBC and Yahoo Finance. He has spent the last 18 months trading on the floor in Chicago as well as trading the FX market professionally.
De Donno Heads To Italy
Daniele de Donno, a member of Deutsche Bank’s FX sales team in London, has relocated to Milan where he will continue to serve Italian clients for the bank. In London the bank has already filled his role internally.
Despite job cutting at the moment, the bank may actually increase its FX headcount in 2009, according to market sources. The bank has highlighted FX, commodities and cash equities as three areas of growth in the coming year. Redundancies at the German bank will mainly include those working in credit origination, exotic structured products and proprietary trading.
Bartholin to Go Long
Frederic Bartholin, who works on the short term interest rate sales desk at BNP Paribas in Paris will move to the long term rates desk in Q1 2009 according to market sources.
