Schultz to Join Deutsche Bank

Craig Schultz is set to join Deutsche Bank in New York as head of FX bank sales for North America. He will start the role in July and will report to Maria Prata, head of hybrid FX sales.

Schultz was previously director – head of bank sales Americas at Citi in New York. Schultz joined Citi in 2008 as one of a number of the bank sales team that left UBS for Citi under Bruno Widmer.

Gray Joins City Credit Capital

Rob Gray has joined foreign exchange broker City Credit Capital as sales and marketing director, reporting directly to the company’s board.

London-headquartered City Credit Capital provides foreign exchange and contracts-for-difference trading services to private investors and financial institutions. It has a senior management team that has been brought together from financial institutions including HSBC, Citi and Societe Generale, according to the company website.

Before pursuing interests outside of the industry, Gray was regional head of western emerging markets and the Middle East at CMC Markets, with responsibility for white label partnerships. Prior to joining CMC in 2008, he was head of UK institutional sales at Saxo Bank, where he helped to build up the sales and account management and sales trading teams.

Gray joined Saxo Bank in 2006 from SuperDerivatives. He also held sales roles at Tullett Prebon Information and Standard & Poor’s MMS after starting his career as a trader on the Liffe floor in London.

FXecosystem Appoints Sales Director for the Americas

FXecosystem, a network connectivity provider to the foreign exchange market, has appointed Robert Dantone as sales director for the Americas, effective from 1 June.

Dantone joins from Flextrade where he was vice president of FX sales. He has previously worked at GFI Group, Obex securities, FXCM, Westpac and the Royal Bank of Scotland in a range of FX roles. 

Dantone will be based in New York and will be responsible for heading up sales in the region to banks, hedge funds and other FX market participants, reporting to John Farrell, global head of sales.

Oanda Appoints New CEO

Retail foreign exchange broker Oanda Corp. has appointed K Duker as chief executive officer, succeeding Michael Stumm, who will remain a member of the Oanda Board.

For the past four years, Duker has served as managing director for Oanda’s Asia Pacific division. Prior to joining Oanda, he was head of Deutsche Bank’s eFX business in Asia Pacific.

“During his tenure with Oanda, K has been a close advisor to the firm’s leadership, drawing upon his many years of industry experience,” says Oanda board member, Kittu Kolluri.

“The board is confident that K brings the leadership skills and deep financial knowledge to take on the responsibility of guiding Oanda in the next phase of the firm’s growth.

“As one of Oanda’s co-founders, Michael Stumm’s unique vision and technical expertise led to the creation of a company that literally changed the way retail customers approach forex trading,” Kolluri adds.

Markowitz Joins Horizon Cash Management

Investment advisory firm, Horizon Cash Management, has named Michael Markowitz as executive vice president, partner and chief investment officer.

Marokwitz is responsible for setting the overall investment strategy of the firm and for the oversight of all investment functions including trading, credit research and the operational aspects of the trading desk.

Prior to joining Horizon, Markowitz was a managing director and head of short duration fixed income at Guggenheim Partners and before that was managing director and head of short duration fixed income at UBS.

CME Group Hires Legal Eagle

CME Group has appointed Susan Schultz to the newly created position of executive director and counsel to Terry Duffy, executive chairman and president. 

Schultz will be responsible for advising on legal matters related to the company's government relations, public relations and corporate marketing activities. Schultz has more than 30 years of legal and regulatory experience in the derivatives industry. She most recently served as managing director, group deputy general counsel and chief operating officer of the LCA division of Newedge Group. 

Additionally, CME Group has appointed Linda Rich, senior managing director, government relations and legislative affairs, to the company's management team, reporting to Duffy.  

Leibbrandt Succeeds Campos at Swift

Lazao Campos is set to step down from his role as chief executive officer of Swift at the end of June and will be replaced by Gottfried Leibbrandt.

Campos has been with Swift for 25 years, serving as CEO for the past five years after he took on the role from Leonard Schrank. Campos is departing in order to pursue other opportunities, Swift says. While head of the interbank messaging company, he led Swift through its growth and transformational strategy, Swift2015, which is working towards improving efficiency, increasing volumes and reducing costs.

Leibbrandt, who is currently serving as head of marketing, will begin in the role on 1 July. Before joining Swift he was a partner at McKinsey & Company.
