Deutsche Bank Loses Wee
Michele Wee has left Deutsche Bank where she was head of electronic FX and fixed income sales for Asia. Market sources say she is moving to Standard Chartered in a senior e-commerce sales role, but this could not be confirmed by press time.
FXall Appoints Lupowitz as CIO
Kevin Lupowitz has joined FXall as its new chief information officer with responsibility for leading the company’s technology strategy.
“We are looking to Kevin to help us create a highly productive environment for our technology team to aggressively expand our capabilities in areas of interest to our clients,” says Phil Weisberg, CEO at FXall. “We believe this positions the company well to navigate the new derivatives legislation and market structure changes and develop innovative product and enterprise solutions for our clients and bank partners.”
Lupowitz joins FXall from Liquidnet, where he was CIO and global head of technology. Before that he worked at Merrin Financial and Armonie Software, where he was a co-founder, New Era of Networks, and Heine Securities.
Largey to Join CLS
Marianne Largey is set to join CLS Group, according to market sources. Largey was most recently at BT Radianz in New York, where she was senior business development manager for FX providers. Before joining BT Radianz in 2006, she worked in FX sales at eSpeed, was director of account management at Cognotec, and spent 10 years at EBS Dealing Resources as an accounts manager.
Nomura Appoints Head of Global Markets
Nomura has promoted Tarun Jotwani to executive vice president and head of global markets. Jotwani will lead both fixed income and equities under a fully integrated capital markets platform, setting strategy and prioritising resources for all global markets businesses across all regions. He will remain in London.
As he assumes these expanded responsibilities, he will also transition out of his current role as chief executive officer, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Nomura said in a statement.
John Phizackerley, currently joint chief administrative officer of the wholesale division, will likely succeed Jotwani as CEO, EMEA from 1 April. His appointment is subject to regulatory approval. Nomura is reshuffling its senior management to better compete globally.
JP Morgan TS Adds to Asia-Pac Management Team
JP Morgan Treasury Services has made three appointments to its Asia Pacific management team. Margaret Yao has been named regional sales executive, Asia Pacific responsible for building and expanding the firm’s key client list and unifying sales management across the region.
Yao has 25 years’ experience in both sales and product areas of the financial industry and was most recently head of liquidity management, Asia Pacific. She will continue to be based in Hong Kong and will report to Tom DuCharme, CEO, Asia Pacific, Treasury and securities services.
Hendra Lembong has joined the firm as Asia Pacific head of cash management, covering core cash and liquidity management. He will be based in Singapore and will report regionally to DuCharme and globally to Linda McLaughlin-Moore, who is taking on a new position as head of international cash management, based in New York. Lembong previously worked at Deutsche Bank and Citi.
Adrian Godfrey has joined as Asia Pacific head of client service and implementation management. Based in Singapore and reporting to DuCharme regionally, Godfrey has been with JP Morgan for almost 25 years, with much of his time spent in sales and client servicing roles.
