Brian Oliver has left his role as head of FICC sales and relationship management for Europe and Asia at Citadel Securities.

Profit & Loss understands that Oliver’s is a planned departure and that he has left to pursue other opportunities – last week saw the departure of Nicola White, global FICC COO from Citadel Securities, however it is understood the two departures are unrelated.

Oliver joined Citadel Securities in 2015 from JP Morgan where he was EMEA head of the bank’s derivatives clearing and collateral management business, before that he worked at CME Group in business development roles. It is understood his role will be split between three recent hires. Lucy Liu joined as head of EMEA and APAC transaction sales in August, while Kelly Wang joined as head of APAC sales and relationship management in October and Alyson Rodriguez was promoted to head of EMEA relationship management in July.

Paul Hamill, global head of FICC distribution at Citadel Securities, says, “We are grateful to Brian for his valuable contributions in helping build our European FICC business over the past four years. We are excited about Citadel Securities’ continued growth in 2020 including full scale launch of our euro swaps offering and further expanding our treasury business in Europe and Asia.”
