JP Morgan Treasury Services (JPM TS) has appointed Alexander Caviezel as regional executive for the Asia Pacific region. The role was previously held by Steven Groppi, who recently took responsibility for the division’s business in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). As a result, Caviezel will relocate from London to Hong Kong in September. He reports to Groppi, who maintains oversight of the Asia region.
He began his career with Chase Manhattan in Germany as an internal auditor in 1983, before moving to a corporate finance function in Zurich. Following this, he moved to the bank’s Geneva offices, initially taking over structured trade finance before assuming responsibility for JP Morgan’s Swiss branch entities as general manager. Most recently he was business manager for JPM TS in the EMEA region.
