Klaus Paesler has joined Millennium Global Investments as an executive director.
Based in London, Paesler joins from Russell Investments, where he spent more than 12 years.
He initially joined Russell as head of overlay portfolio management, tasked with managing a team of derivative portfolio managers offering custom derivative-based solutions to large institutional investors.
Then in 2009, Paesler was named as head of currency and overlay strategy, EMEA. In this role he worked with clients to design and recommend specific investment strategies, as well as optimal solutions across the investment spectrum.
In 2017, Paesler was appointed as director, investment solutions, and head of German-speaking Europe. He was responsible for leading the sales and client service effort for the region to represent all Russell Investments products and services for both institutional and the retail/private banking sector.
Prior to joining Russell, Paesler was a portfolio manager at Mellon Capital Management for nine years, where he was responsible for generating stock, currency and derivatives trades to manage multi-billion dollar equity index funds. In this position, he was also tasked with calculating and analysing performance attribution for all managed strategies, evaluating discretionary corporate actions, finding ways to improve tracking error and reduce investment risk and analysing index rebalances and coordinating trading strategy.
Paesler began his career in financial services in 1989, working as a financial analyst at US Bancorp.
