The Australian market has lost one of its characters with the passing away of Malcolm ‘Spike’ Jones.
“Spike had a long and distinguished career in financial markets and will be well known to most for his 26 years at Tulletts, now known as Tullett Prebon,” president of ACI Australia Jack Richards says in a letter to members.
A private family cremation was held on Friday 23 January , while Richards says that a celebration of his life will be held this Tuesday 27 January at the Eastern Hotel, Bondi Junction from 5.00 to 8.00pm “for those that would like to pay their respects and raise a glass in honour of his life and contribution to both the markets and to each of us as individuals”.
The family has requested no flowers. In lieu, donations may be made to The Children’s Cancer Institute http://www.ccia.org.au/
“He will be sadly missed,” concludes Richards.
