Edgewater Markets has hired Rick Lloyd as director of e-FX Sales out of its Singapore office.
“I am very excited about joining the Singapore team at Edgewater Markets and look forward to the opportunity to contribute to the continued expansion of the company’s footprint in the Asia–Pacific region. The proprietary product offering, rapidly expanding global presence and customised end user trading solutions make Edgewater’s service offering very compelling,” says Lloyd.
Prior to joining, Lloyd was a senior FX analyst at Thomson Reuters (now Refinitiv) in Singapore, where he managed a team of eight across three time zones in Asia, analysing FX markets and providing commentary regarding both major and emerging markets currencies.
Before joining Thomson Reuters in 2009, Lloyd spent over seven years at ABN Amro, heading the G10 FX trading out of Singapore and Sydney. He also spent five years as the global head of FX at Commonwealth Bank in Sydney, 14 years as a manager for FX trading at Bank of America in Los Angeles and seven years in the same role at Security Pacific Bank. Lloyd began his career in financial services working as an FX trader at Morgan Guaranty Trust Company in London between 1977 and 1982.
“We are extremely excited to have Rick join Edgewater’s team. The depth of his knowledge and extensive forex industry experience will allow us to further strengthen and expand our offering in the sector. This continued hiring expansion allows us to leverage the tremendous growth and success we continue to experience,” says Skovran Schreder, co-founder and CEO of Edgewater Markets.
