Lehman Brothers in New York has hired Eric Johnson, who will be joining the firm in its investment management division as a managing director and global head of institutional asset management sales. Johnson will report to Theodore Janulis, global head of the investment management division.
Bringing with him 25 years of experience in institutional sales, Johnson will be responsible for institutional sales and client services for the firm’s traditional asset management, hedge fund and private equity offerings.
Commenting on the appointment, Janulis says: “Eric is an exceptional asset management sales professional with a long track record of success. I am confident he will play a crucial role as we continue to grow our institutional asset management businesses.”
Most recently, he served as managing director and head of North America institutional sales for Morgan Stanley’s investment management division. Prior to Morgan Stanley, he held senior roles at Sound Shore, Alliance Capital Management and Alliance Bernstein Institutional Management.
