Don’t miss the opportunity to listen to our expert panellists as they discuss upcoming OTC derivatives trading regulations in a live webinar hosted by Thomson Reuters and Profit & Loss on Wednesday 5 September at 4pm BST (11am EST).
In September 2009, the G20 published a set of reformatory commitments to address the concerns raised during the credit crisis, resulting in a fierce and ongoing debate surrounding the issues. From politicians to regulators, no one is certain of the full implications or effectiveness of the new rules.
Among the questions to be addressed by a panel of experts will be:
• Are the likely capital costs of cleared and uncleared trades too high?
• Does hedging become too expensive to remain a viable option?
• EMIR, MiFIR, MiFID – what do they actually mean for everyone?
• What is the difference between post trade transparency and reporting?
The webinar will be hosted by Robin Poynder, Head of Regulation, Marketplaces at Thomson Reuters. Speakers will include David Clark, Chairman of the Wholesale Market Brokers’ Association, Barry King, Senior Associate in OTC Derivatives and Post Trade Policy at the UK Financial Services Authority and Andrew Ross, European Head of OTC Clearing at Morgan Stanley.
