Knight Capital Group has added electronic access to the spot foreign exchange market through subsidiary Hotspot FX from its electronic trading platform, Knight Direct EMS.
In addition, the financial services firm has added European equities trading capabilities to the broker-neutral trading platform.
Knight Direct EMS now offers direct market access to multiple asset classes, including US and non-US equities, futures, options and foreign exchange making Knight Direct EMS a virtual ‘one-stop shop’ for trading, the company says.
Hotspot provides access to trading in 48 currency pairs as well as gold and silver through an electronic communication network model that supports enhanced trade execution management and transaction cost analysis as well as alpha generation.
"With newly added capabilities in European ordinaries and currencies, Knight Direct EMS offers a robust platform to asset managers and hedge funds seeking self-directed trading solutions to efficiently source liquidity across multiple asset classes," says Joseph Wald, managing director, Direct Trading Institutional, a subsidiary of Knight Capital Group.
Knight Direct EMS is offered through Direct Trading Institutional, and Knight Equity Markets International, another subsidiary.
