Icap Updates Voice Trading Technology


The world’s largest interdealer broker, Icap, has rolled out voice trading technology supplied by Syntegra to 50 brokers in its Sydney office.

“Icap is committed to implementing the best technology to improve our service and trading facilities,” says Austen Marriot, COO for Icap in Asia-Pacific. “We took advantage of the move to our new premises to update our voice trading technology…in order to ensure the technology implemented met our needs as far as flexibility, scalability and overall value were concerned.”

In addition, Icap has installed Syntegra’s ITSlink computer telephony integration applications, which are designed to handle individual call activity, including support for “golden direct dial-in” numbers for clients. Also provided is a “click-dial” function to simplify the making of outgoing calls or the retrieval of previous call records, linking the relevant information from the contact database.
