JP Morgan Treasury Services (JPM TS) appoints Steve Groppi as Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regional executive, in addition to his current role as regional executive for Asia Pacific. The amalgamated role gives him responsibility for sales, product management, marketing, technology and operations for both regions. He reports to Lori Hricik, global executive of JPM TS.
“As the number one non-indigenous provider of euro clearing [according to FIMetrix, 2002] JP Morgan clearly places a great deal of importance on this region,” says Groppi. “We are exploring a number of new business lines, and we will continue to enhance our core solutions and services to meet our clients’ needs. The combination of global capability and local delivery that we offer has been instrumental to our success in the region.”
Goppi replaces Steve Wilder, formerly regional executive for EMEA who became head of western hemisphere and Latin American sales for the large corporate and financial institutions market, as well as head of a new group responsible for global client care earlier in the year.
