Profit & Loss in association withIneum Consulting is holding a free breakfast seminar entitled “Multi-Asset Trading/Cross-Asset Clearing – Evolving Customer and Regulatory Drivers and the Industry’s Response”.
The seminar will take place on Tuesday 12 May at 10 Fleet Place, London from 7.45am to 9.45 am.
The quest for capital efficient cross-asset clearing services to cater for customers increasingly trading multi-asset instruments in cash, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives markets has become a ‘holy grail’ for operations executives.
Although there have been some moves towards such efficiency improvements, progress has been impeded by a combination of the widely prevailing silo mentality within the sell-side and the lack of suitable technology solutions.
The recent market upheaval has in some ways given a fresh impetus to providing effective solutions. Spurred on by the regulators, clearing houses are looking at ways to handle the central clearing of complex OTC derivatives while the provision of clearing house services has become a key differentiator in the battle for market share for the leading exchange operating groups.
Speakers lined up to discuss these important issues include Mike Mathias – partner, financial services, Ineum Consulting; Jrme Rousseaux – deputy head, post trade services, SunGard Global Trading; Richard Wilkinson – director, clearing and infrastructure sales, futures and base metals, RBC Capital Markets. The panel will be moderated by David Setters – senior associate, Contango Markets.
