E-portals Releases TMS Based on .Net Technology

E-portals, a new treasury management system that uses the Microsoft .Net framework, has released the first version of its integrated trading, treasury and risk system, x-treasury. E-portals says that unlike some initiatives that have converted legacy applications to use some of the .Net features, x-treasury has been designed and developed totally within the framework.

The company claims that using .Net technology means there is no longer a need to develop Internet front ends or add-ons to legacy systems, because the platform is totally Web-based, thus integrating anyone with the appropriate authority to access all functions of the system, no matter where they are sited in the world.

Hal Hovland, chief executive officer, says, “This is a huge opportunity for us to change the makeup of treasury technology by helping institutions, large and small, to harness the tremendous communication and network opportunities presented by Internet technology.”
