Iván Dexeus has been handed a new role at TD Securities, where he will now be tasked with leading the firm’s regional FX business out of Dublin.
When asked whether Dexeus’ new role and relocation from London to Dublin was a reaction to Brexit, a spokesperson for TD Securities says that as part of the firm’s regional diversification strategy in Europe, its Irish subsidiary, TD Global Finance, is expanding in Dublin. Having opened up new offices in the Irish capital last year, the plan is for TD Securities to ramp up its business activity this year and the firm is actively working to onboard clients, adds the spokesperson.
Dexeus has been a director at TD Securities since 2016 and prior to this new role worked in FX sales, responsible for spearheading the firm’s expansion into EU clients out of its London office.
Before joining TD Securities, Dexeus spent over seven years at Credit Suisse and two years at Goldman Sachs in FX sales roles. Although he was based in London for these roles, his main focus was covering clients in mainland Europe.
