James Goldie has joined Deutsche Bank as managing director, co-head of European sales (excluding Germany) for its institutional client group within global markets.
Based in London, Goldie will lead the European sales team alongside Antonio Linares, and report to Colin Grassie, joint global head of the institutional client group. He joins from ABN Amro, where he was head of UK sales from July 2001, prior to which he spent five years as a senior credit and hedge fund specialist with Schroder Salomon Smith Barney.
Danielle Merone and Melissa Murphy are joining Deutsche’s London European cross rate team covering hedge funds. Merone has 11 years of specialist derivative sales experience, gained most recently at Credit Suisse First Boston, where she covered financial institutions and hedge funds. Murphy joins from Salomon Smith Barney in Hong Kong.
Deutsche Bank has also attracted Peter Bayer, formerly of Merrill Lynch, to become a director of FX investor sales.
Deutsche confirms that Juan Hosez Macias joined as a director of the financial institutions group in Spain, part of the bank’s global markets division. He will report to the head of debt capital markets in Spain, Mariano Aldama. He joins from Barclays Capital.
