Currenex, which became the first Internet-based B2B multibank FX exchange when it launched on 27 April, has made several senior hires from the professional marketplace. Currenex’s Web service, FXtrades, provides auction access for CFOs, corporate treasurers, investment fund managers and agencies.
The FXtrades service is a Web-based global currency exchange that supports FX spot, forwards and swaps transactions, which can be integrated into settlement systems. The competitive auction-based service also offers a full audit trail, transaction history and reporting capability. The FXtrades service carries Reuters global financial news and currency rates to provide FX market information, news and trade execution in a single view.
The California-based company has hired Roddy Boulton, previously head of FX sales for the Americas at Credit Suisse First Boston, as vice president of international sales. He will oversee both international sales and investment fund sales in the US. Prior to joining CSFB as director of UK institutional sales, Boulton worked for JP Morgan.
