Currenex has completed its FIX compatible service for streaming FX rates. The new system enables market participants to execute trades with Currenex’s Executable Streaming Prices (ESP) service using the FIX 4.2 protocol. The FIX service was introduced at the request of a number of price makers interested in ESP trading, the multibank portal says.
“We were the first major dealer to use FIX in our FX operations because it gave us the broadest and most flexible connectivity options,” says Ivan Ritossa, head of global FX at Barclays Capital. “We look forward to using Currenex’s new FIX gateway to help grow our business and provide lower integration costs to our customers. In the future we believe that FIX will revolutionise FX just as it has already transformed the equities market.”
