He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Neil Harvey, head of Asia Pacific and head of emerging markets globally, and Sudip Thakor, head of global emerging markets products for Asset Management.
The role is newly created and Guinness will focus on Asian emerging markets product development and investment solutions for regional clients seeking to tap into the growth potential offered by emerging markets opportunities globally.
Guinness was most recently head of institutional client relations, Corporate and Investment Banking at Societe Generale in Hong Kong, responsible for new strategic client relationships and capability development in new product segments and markets.
Prior to that, he worked for Fidelity Investments from 2008-2010 in various roles, including country head for Korea and regional head of product development. He has also worked at Prudential Asset Management and AMP Capital Investors in pan-regional product development and marketing roles focused on institutional relationships.
“The continued development of our emerging markets platform is a major growth initiative within Asset Management and a strategic priority for Credit Suisse as an integrated bank,” says Harvey.
