Nick Crawford has left UniCredit where he was global head of FX, a spokesperson for the bank tells Squawkbox. Guy Laffineur, deputy head of Markets, will assume the role on an interim basis.
Crawford was appointed global head of FX in 2009 and relocated to London from New York for the role. He joined UniCredit in 2007 as head of rates and FX for North America and global head of FX derivatives trading.
Before that Crawford worked as global co-head of FX trading for Merrill Lynch in New York and also held a series of FX trading positions, including roles at Morgan Stanley and the Union Bank of Switzerland. It was unclear at press time where Crawford is heading.
