James Colinders has taken on a newly created role at State Street working on its money market platform, FundConnect.
In this role Colinders will be focused on creating a private label distribution business, developing institutional partnerships and expanding the platform’s client footprint. He will remain based in New York and will report into Eric Wolf, global head of FundConnect. Colinders’ official title will be director of strategic partnerships.
Prior to this, he had spent 11 years working on the Currenex business owned by State Street, where he was most recently the head of e-FX distribution solutions – global markets.
A spokesperson for State Street confirmed Colinders’ new role, pointing out that he will be remaining within the GlobalLink business segment at the bank.
Before joining State Street in 2008, Colinders spent six years at the Royal Bank of Canada, one year at National Discount Brokers and five years at TD Waterhouse.
