Spread betting and CFD trading provider CMC Markets has upgraded its Next Generation platform.
These include a new toolbar to make features more accessible, new short-cut functions, enhanced order ticket design and increased control over the platform tools so clients can maximise their experience, even on a smaller screen. The firm now allows clients to access social media via the platform. With access to Twitter, YouTube and global analyst blog pages, clients can consider all of these sources of financial news in their decision making process, the firm says.
In direct response to client feedback, CMC says it has added Reuters news service, which can be filtered to only show headlines related to products within a specific watchlist. Additionally, clients can benefit from a real-time feed called Insights, which is populated directly by CMC’s team of global analysts to inform clients of specific market events.
With more than 31% of client trades now executed via mobile devices, CMC says it has also updated its mobile offering to satisfy “the increasing demand for comprehensive on-the-go trading platforms”. Within this upgrade, the economic calendar available on the Web-based platform has been added to the iPhone and iPad apps, allowing clients access to important economic announcements and the option of receiving push alerts even when they are not logged in. The firm has also released upgrades to mobile charts and a fully customisable iPad menu bar.
