Gregory Edwards has resigned from Citigroup, where he was a vice president of FX e-commerce sales in London, the desk confirms. The Royal Bank of Scotland in London confirms that he will join as a director of e-ventures and agency treasury, reporting to Stamos Fokianos, head of new product development in the financial markets team, who is also based in London. Fokianos joined RBS from Citi in February.
He began his career at Scotia Capital, before joining Citigroup in Toronto in 1996. Citi declines to comment on the move.
Edwards is at least the fifth person to leave Citi’s e-commerce team this year. Fokianos’ departure was followed in May by Stuart Peck and James Van den Heule, who went to Morgan Stanley and Barclays Capital, respectively. In the US, Scott Freeman left for Bank of America in mid-June.
