Citi had a stellar night at the Profit & Loss Readers’ Choice Awards Dinner, which was held in New York City last week, winning seven awards. The bank carried off three client segment awards in Corporates, Banks and Margin Traders, as well as the top prize for FX prime brokerage, emerging markets, order management and algorithmic execution.
The Readers’ Choice Award, informally known as the FoXys, were decided by more than 2,500 votes during April across both banks and non-bank providers.
There were double awards for Barclays, Deutsche Bank and UBS, JP Morgan also won the award for the asset manager segment.
On the non-bank side of the awards, things were more balanced, however GFI had a great night, bringing home four awards across its business for GFI Direct and ForexMatch; there were also awards for Fenics and the broker’s emerging markets business.
Other notable doubles were scored by EBS, which won Best Matching Platform and Best Banks Platform; FXall which triumphed in the corporate and Best RFS Platform categories; and Bloomberg, which brought home the Best Algorithmic Execution and Best Research awards.
Pictures and a full listing of awards will be published in the July/August issue of Profit & Loss.
