According to sources familiar with the matter, there have been a number of changes within Standard Chartered’s foreign exchange business.
Elder Maxwell is set to join the bank next month as a senior salesperson on the real money funds desk in New York. Maxwell joins from Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML) where she was director of foreign exchange institutional sales. She joined BAML in 1997 as a senior advisor on the European corporate desk.
John Donnelly, senior banking officer at BAML, is also joining Standard Chartered in New York as head of G10 spot trading. Donnelly joined BAML Mexico in 2003 and previously held positions at JP Morgan Mexico and Chase Manhattan Bank, also in Mexico.
Jeff Robertson, head of institutional sales in New York, has transferred to Standard Chartered’s London office. Robertson’s role will remain the same, a spokesperson says.
In other developments. Patrick McInerney, director and head of deliverable spot trading for the Americas, has left the bank to join BAML, according to market sources. He joined Standard Chartered in 2007 and has also held roles at Svenska Handelsbanken and Calyon/Credit Agricole.
