Market sources tell Profit & Loss that Adrian Boehler has joined UBS as global head of FX distribution. Based in London the sources say he will report to George Athanasopoulos, global head of FX, rates and credit.
Boehler was last at BNP Paribas in London where he spent just over seven years in a variety of senior sales roles before stepping up to become co-head of FX, local markets and commodity derivatives in August 2016. He left the bank at the end of 2018.
Prior to BNP, Boehler spent seven years at HSBC, latterly as head of FX sales for EMEA, having joined that bank after a nine year career at Goldman Sachs, latterly as head of FX sales, real money, Europe.
Boelhler was appointed as co-vice chair of the Global FX Committee in June 2018, however he stepped down from the role at the meeting after his departure from BNP Paribas.
UBS was unable to confirm the hire by press time.
