Richard Boardman has joined RBC in London as a managing director, head of financial institutions. He will report to Jason Goss, co-head of European FICC sales.
In this new role, Boardman will focus on broadening RBC’s financial institution sector presence from a solutions perspective, initially, with a heavy focus on the insurance client segment, the bank says.
He joins from Nomura in London where he was head of solutions sales for EMEA. Prior to that, Boardman was at RBS and UBS running the ALM sales efforts to UK insurers. Leveraging his depth of knowledge and history of developing strong relationships, RBC says it will build a content-based sales effort to address the capital and ALM issues of their clients.
