Bee Exits Deutsche; Destined for Global Role at StanChart?

Deutsche Bank confirms that David Bee, who was recently named chief operating officer for global FX sales, has left the bank in London. Sources say that he will be joining Standard Chartered as global head of FX, although the bank declines to comment.

Bee was promoted to his latest role earlier this year (see Profit & Loss, February 2004) having joined Deutsche last summer to develop a bridge between the FX group and private wealth clients.

If confirmed, sources say that Bee will report to Nick Beecroft, who joined Standard Chartered last summer as global head of FX trading, and is now believed to have assumed wider responsibilities.

Bee joined Deutsche from Citigroup, where he served in a variety of roles, before moving to Citibank Private Bank where he was global head of FX until December 2002.
