Barclays Capital has made changes to its foreign exchange sales team in the US and Asia. Jim Iorio, head of FX distribution for Asia, based in Singapore, is set to relocate to New York in July to become head of FX distribution, America.
Iorio is moving back to New York, where he earlier headed up FX derivatives sales for Barclays. Before that he was head of FX sales for North America at Lehman Brothers. He replaces Gregg Chow, who has been appointed global head of real money sales at Barclays Capital.
Mike Hill, head of emerging markets rates sales, is stepping in to replace Iorio in Singapore, and will take on the FX sales role in addition to his rates duties.
In a fourth move, Eric Schatz is relocating from Tokyo – where he is head of foreign exchange for Japan – to London to become Barclays Capital’s new chief operating officer for global distribution. A spokesperson for Barclays Capital declined to comment on the personnel changes.
