Bank of America has appointed Gilles Moc as senior economist for Europe from Banque de France where he was most recently head of the international economic outlook division.
Based in London he reports to Holger Schmieding, head of European economics, and is part of the global economics group headed by chief economist Mickey Levy in New York.
Moc will analyse the major fundamentals that drive key European economies and financial markets with a particular emphasis on developments in France, Italy and Spain.
“As we continue to grow our European franchise and provide our clients with high-quality, informative research, Gilles’ experience will be a great asset to us. In particular, his in-depth knowledge of France will further enrich our Eurozone research product and strengthen our profile in the region with clients, official institutions and the public,” says Levy.
