Bank of America Merrill Lynch has made a number of strategic hires across its foreign exchange business lines in London.
James Coulton has joined BAML as head of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) foreign exchange trading, reporting to Chris Bae and Tom Gilie, co-heads of G10 FX trading. Coutlon is an emerging markets trading veteran and spent 15 years at Goldman Sachs, most recently as head of emerging markets FX.
Colin Devereux is joining the bank as a director in FX trading, also reporting to Landes. He was most recently a currency trader at BNP Paribas.
Connor Bride is joining the bank as a vice president in FX trading, reporting to Joe Landes, head of EMEA G10 FX spot trading. Bride joins from Citi where he was a currency trader and before that served at Goldman Sachs.
Stephen Porter has been hired as a vice president in corporate solutions, reporting to Dominic McGrath, managing director in the corporate solutions team. He was formerly on the derivatives sales team at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Shivaprashanth Vaidya is joining the bank as a vice president in fixed income, currencies and commodities, rates trading, reporting to David Henness, head of EMEA interest rate swap trading and gilts. Vaidya was most recently a rates trader at Morgan Stanley.
