ANZ has appointed a new group managing director of operations, technology and shared services with the hire of David Cartwright.
Cartwright, who will report to ANZ CEO John McFarlane, will move from the UK to join the Australian banking group over the next few months following the planned retirement of Mike Grime.
He joins from Intelligent Processing Solutions where he was CEO. IPSL is a joint venture created by Unisys, Lloyds TSB Bank, Barclays and HSBC.
Previously Cartwright had a 22-year career in operations and technology at Barclays. His recent roles included director, operations and client experience, private clients and international; managing director, service delivery; and managing director, Barclays technology services.
