Meanwhile, BNP Paribas has made two appointments to its UK hedge funds sales desk for foreign exchange; Peter Snasdell and Peregrine Hood are joining the bank in London reporting to Miranda Royston, head of FX sales to hedge funds.
Snasdell joins from ABN Amro in London where he worked as part of the hedge fund institutional sales team. Peregrine, meanwhile, joins from the independent financial services company, Bridport & Cie in Geneva, where he was a sales trader specialising in fixed income products and portfolio management.
The bank is strengthening its FX offerings, and these two appointments are the latest in a number of FX hires made in both London and Paris; it has also reorganised the financial institutions FX sales team in Paris.
A dedicated central bank and official institutions’ desk was launched in June, headed by Carole Lambert.
Stefano Paschetto, head of the institutional client group within fixed income at BNP Paribas, said the bank “has ambitious growth targets within the hedge fund and central bank client sectors for FX, and as we continue to add significant talent and experience to the sales desks, we can undoubtedly make a formidable impact on these markets.”
