Zar Amrolia has returned to Deutsche Bank to run bank coverage globally for foreign exchange and commodities and to head up FX global liquidity services including FX e-commerce. Based in London, for bank sales coverage he will report to Dan Almeida, global head of FX sales, while in terms of product, he will report to Jim Turley, global head of FX and commodities.
Amrolia’s return to the fold comes a year after he exited Goldman Sachs, where he was most recently global head of FX sales. He joined Goldman in November 2000 as a managing director and co-chief operating officer of the global FX business, overseeing global FX sales and FX e-commerce.
The bank has seen a couple of familiar faces return in recent months, including Alessandro Cummunale, director and head of FX sales for southern Europe, and Daniel Swasbrook, director covering European institutional sales, who returned to the bank after spells with Lehman Brothers and Goldman Sachs, respectively.
