A new team has been established by Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank to provide foreign exchange, interest rate and a range of treasury risk solutions to business and corporate customers.
Mike Bligh, who joined the bank nine month ago as head of treasury risk solutions, with the remit to establish the new team, says, “The bank is a major UK brand and there is a tremendous opportunity for us to offer FX and interest rate solutions to our business customers that both support and enhance the Group’s existing lending and relationship banking services.”
As part of his new role, Bligh has taken on responsibility of recruiting specialist staff for the team and has recently made two new appointments.
As senior manager of treasury risk solutions, Grant Murray joins in the bank’s Leeds business centre, having come from Yorkshire Bank where he most recently acted as director and head of its Leeds treasury team. Murray will be responsible for promoting treasury solutions to corporate customers in the North and Scotland, highlighting how they can enhance their FX and interest rate risk management.
Faye Ackerley, sales assistant, has moved internally from A&L’s group risk function and will based in the bank’s main dealing room. She will take responsibility for supporting the team and managing incoming opportunities.
