ACI to Hold Elections at Forex 2001 in Singapore

ACI – The Financial Markets Association will elect a president, treasurer and chair of the Committee for Professionalism (CFP) at the Forex 2001 International Congress in Singapore later this month.

Fortis Bank’s Heering Ligthart, current ACI president, is running unopposed for a second term. Meanwhile, the treasurer’s post has three candidates: current treasurer Herman Bussers of the National Bank of Belgium is up against Robin Poynder of HSBC London and Francis Herbin of Credit Agricole Indosuez in Paris.

Werner Pauw of ABSA Corporate Bank in Johannesburg is running unopposed for the chair of the CFP, succeeding Eddie Tan of Citibank, who has relocated from Singapore to take up a new post for the bank in Hong Kong.
