NAB New York Brings in Witrock

Jason Witrock has reportedly joined National Australia Bank in New York as an interest rate derivative sales dealer. He is believed to be joining from Lehman Brothers, New York, but this could not be confirmed by press time.

Taylor Joins iFX

Kevin Taylor has joined iFX Markets as a spot trader, the company confirms. He joins from Standard Chartered Bank in London, where he was a spot cable trader, and reports to Jeff Halley, chief dealer.

MacKinnon Joins Soros’ Nexus Fund

Neil MacKinnon, chief economist and director of institutional advisor services at the ECU Group and formerly of Merrill Lynch, is reported to have joined George Soros’ Nexus Fund as a chief economist. He will be based in London. Further details were not available at time of going to press.

Barclays Brings in Yeong for Sales

Henry Yeong has joined Barclays Capital as a director of foreign exchange sales in Singapore, the bank confirms. He reports to Jonathan Pye, head of institutional sales in Asia (excluding Japan), and is responsible for FX sales in South East Asia. Demetri Papacostas recently joined HSBC in New York as senior vice president, head of currency risk advisory, the bank confirms. He reports to Paul Plesser, managing director and head of FX sales. He was previously with JP Morgan where he was head of North American regional derivative sales.
