Halifax has appointed new heads of its spot and forwards desks. Chris Peters joins the bank as head of spot trading in London, while Neil Carr is the new head of forward FX trading, confirms Nigel Coupland, FX manager. Peters was most recently with RBS/NatWest, while Carr was with WestLB.

Brian Jennings has joined the corporate FX sales desk at UBS Warburg in Stamford, CT. He reports to Andy Robertson, executive director, FX sales. Jennings is believed to have joined from Mitchell Hutchins Asset Management, and previously worked for PaineWebber and before that, IBM, however, officials declined to confirm.
